There's a great deal of Canadian history behind Kicking Horse Mountain. We will greet you personally at Calgary Airport and transfer you in a our brand new luxurious mini coach to Kicking Horse, where you will go straight to your superb accommodation, where you will receive our welcome pack with details on the area and your lift pass etc. this is where your daily snow experience begins and the chance to enjoy the Champagne Powder of Kicking Horse.
Your lodging for the Ski experience is in traditional Boutique Hotel just steps 200m away from the Gondola at Kicking Horse Mountain, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. This Luxury accommodation features warmth and charm, reminiscent of the Historical Canadian National Parks Lodges but with the amenities and service of top quality Boutique Hotels.
The main floor features a number of different areas great for sitting around playing cards, board games, reading your favourite book or visiting with other guests. And not to be forgotten is the bar which is a hand-cut split log. This is the gathering area for our guests from around the world after a great day on the slopes or after a wild white-water rafting trip on the Kicking Horse River.
Why watch television when you can watch flames flicker in our hand-made local-stone fireplace. It's a unique and pleasing feature of the lodge, and a cozy spot to sit and visit.
All the rooms have private baths with heated floors and are unique in one way or another. The four corner rooms all have window boxes which are just great for sitting in the sunshine and reading. But they can also be made up into single beds. Six of the rooms have balconies with great views of the Rocky Mountains. Two of the rooms with balconies, also have lofts. There is a queen size bed in the loft, and double-size bed downstairs. The rooms do not have phones (cell phones work if you need), or TVs. All beds are queen-size with feather rest mattresses and duvets.
